Hey guys, I had to take care of “mi pickney” today, poor thing got 3 immunization shots but after a little coo’ing and a sweetie she was fine. I can’t believe getting 3 little shots took half the dang day, but then again I was dealing with a county clinic and I had the nerve not to be there when they opened, so that’s to be expected. I really do sympathize with people who have to rely on public assistance, for me it was a choice (I was trying to save money), but for others they don’t have one.
It’s days like these when I wish my husband’s habits could rub off on me. I always admire his innate ability to just be patient, that man can wait for hours and be just as calm and collected, now me on the other hand you don’t even want to know. (I’m one of those people who keeps 10 tabs open in 2 different browsers ’cause I can’ t be bothered with waiting for pages to load, yeah that kind of impatient!) I think in dealing with the various public service systems in Jamaica, you just learn that waiting is part of the game from a young age so he has an unfair advantage. 
Anyway, I just had a lovely dinner of saltfish and baked beans and dumplings and now I’m tired and sleepy and struggling to finish watching American Gangster. I’ll be back in full effect tomorrow! Peace!
