Sean Paul’s father robbed/Timberlee’s car stolen/Beenie Man book release pics/Artists banned from hotels for Sumfest

Reports are that Sean Paul’s father, Garth Enriques, and his friend and business partner, Jon Dowling were robbed at gunpoint this past Sunday in Cassia Park, St. Andrew. The incident occurred at a home in Cassia Park around 1:30 a.m. The two men were not robbed themselves, but valuables were stolen from the home and Dowling was shot in the arm and suffered serious bone and nerve damage, after attempting to run. They are both receiving medical care at the University Hospital of the West Indies. Mr. Enriques is quoted as saying, “I have had plenty of other jerk ups and scrapes before, but I guess, I never had Sean Paul as a son at the time,” he said, laughing. (Source). Sean Paul embarks on his European/Southeast Asia Tour starting next month in Sweden at the Uppsala Reggae Festival, and then onto Italy, Tunisia, and then Malta.
Timberlee had her car stolen from the lawn of her home in Stony Hill (Kingston). No one was injured. Timberlee is most popularly known for her contribution to the dancehall anthem, The Gal Dem Sittin’. (Source)

Beenie Man, Ninja Man, and Mavado have all been banned from several area hotels during Reggae Sumfest due to past bad behavior by either themselves or their entourage and lack of identification, according to a statement by one unidentified hotel manager. Morgan Heritage, Beres Hammond, Etana, Tarrus Riley, and others are reportedly welcome. I wonder if this information was solicited because it seems like it would be unnecessary to release to the public…hmmm (Source)
