Grand Theft Auto IV hits stores today and 6 million people will be introduced to the Real McKoy aka Mavado in just the first week! The video game makers enlisted Mavado on it’s latest release, and his hit The Real McKoy is featured during the intro. You can check out the trailer here. Hate him or love him, that was an excellent marketing move…

In other Mavado news, he as well as Bounty Killer have been banned from Guayana because they are viewed “security threats”

Mavado was named by Rolling Stone as the best “new reggae” artist. I’ve been reading on other sites that he was donned the best reggae artist since Bob Marley, but I don’t see that anywhere on their site…guess that’s why it pays to read for yourself

There’s a Red Stripe backlash from dance hall artists, looks as though some artists are attempting to return the favor of Red Stripe’s withdrawal from dance hall promotion by boycotting the beer…should be interesting to see if they can pull it off, not that Red Stripe cares anyway
