"Rastas" of the Congo- An insult to true Rastafarians everywhere

These women could be you, me, your sister, your daughter, your aunt or even your mother. There is a new barbaric gang that has taken to raping women and ravaging the hillside of the Congo, they call themselves the Rastas. They were part of the Hutus (the group that terrorized Rwanda during the early 90’s). According to reports, the Rastas are “a mysterious gang of dreadlocked fugitives who live deep in the forest, wear shiny tracksuits and Los Angeles Lakers jerseys and are notorious for burning babies, kidnapping women and literally chopping up anybody who gets in their way”. It is really despicable that they would call themselves the Rastas. This is just another example of people who take a certain characteristic of a group (in this case their hairstyle) and then proceed to damage, if not ruin their reputation by committing heinous acts. Yes,indeed,the so called Rastafarians of the Congo are not true Rastafarians, they are nothing but thugs and criminals.Their heinous acts of burning babies,kidnapping and raping the women of the villages clearly suggest and indicate that they are not Rastafarians.Such nefarious behaviour and criminal acts on the part of this group, is totally in contravention to the beliefs,morals and philosophy of Rastafarians.Interestingly, having dreadlocks is important and essential to Rastafari, but one has to be careful and circumspect that not everyone with dreadlocks are necessarily Rastafarians.Indeed, there are men and women who do not have dread locks,but abide to a moral and philosophical code and culture that /which appromixates the Rastafari way of life, more so,than many of these individuals running around with dreadlocks claimimg that they are Rastafarians, when in essence they are nothing but thugs, goons and criminals who are trying to hijack Rastafari.In actuality, they are nothing but wolves in sheep clothing.RESPECT!!
