Poison Dart DJ’s Murdered in Tampa Bay area
Poison Dart DJ’s Antone “Tony Montana” Geargo-Neely (some reports are that he was not part of Poison Dart, but had his own sound system), Michael “Chris Rock” Rottigan, and their friend Kevin “Bumba Blaze” Jordache Webster were murdered last Saturday, in what appears to be a senseless act of retaliation, from an incident which occurred the previous weekend. Around 2:40 am on Saturday, May 24th police were called out to The Thunderbird Bar, where Poison Dart reportedly played every Friday night, due to a noise complaint. Once police arrived on the scene they found Antone Geargo Neely and Kevin Jordache Webster dead on the scene, Michael Rottigan died later at an area hospital, all three men were the victims of gunshot wounds. Police immediately suspected that the three were specifically targeted, because the club had at least 300 patrons and no one else was injured during the brutal crime.
Investigators have identified and issued a warrant for 19 year old, Davion Parson. Allegedly Parson had attended a birthday party on May 10, 2008 for Dwight Earle, at the Thunderbird Club in which Michael Rottigan was DJ’ing. During the party a man by the name of Deneil Campbell asked for the microphone from Earle to sing a song and when Earle tried to take the microphone back a fight ensued and Campbell was ultimately stabbed in the buttocks. Michael Rattigan followed the crowd outside and fired rounds into the air to break up the fight, police were called but there were no witnesses and Campbell did not report that he had been stabbed.
Parson was reportedly upset about the fact that Rottigan broke up the fight and told people that he was going to kill the people who stabbed his friend. It’s reported that after Parson stabbed the three men he went to this mother’s home and even bragged to his friends about killing them. His mother allegedly paid for him to take a cab to Orlando International Airport where he flew to Miami and then Montego Bay, Jamaica. Jamaican authorities have been notified.
Antone Geargo Neely was the father of 5 children, his mother stated, “He is loving. He is kind. He is good. Everybody knows him. My heart is gone”. The other men are also reported to be fathers as well. A memorial will be held this Saturday in their honor, all proceeds will go to their families. If you live in the Tampa Bay area, please see the flyer for specifics.
My deepest condolences go out to the families.
