Owners of reggae label John Shop Records face life in prison
The NY Daily News is reporting that 8 members of a Bronx gang that sold an alleged $1 million in marijuana every week were convicted on Wednesday in federal court. It is reported that the gang used the money from their marijuana sales to fund John Shop Records, a reggae record label that featured artists such as Sizzla and Wyclef John. It’s reported that the gang flew 2000 pounds of weed a week from California to New York for over 7 years. All of the convicted face anywhere from 25 years to life behind bars.
What a shame.
