Discovering Rastafari at the Smithsonian
The Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C., is featuring artifacts and art from the Rastafarian culture in their “Discovering Rastafari” exhibit, which will be on display through November of this year. Anthropologist and curator, John Homiak, explores the culture and 80 year history of Rastafarianism, and also highlights the contributions of individuals such as Marcus Garvey, Leonard Howell, and Bob Marley to the religion.
