British born boxing champion, Lennox Lewis, was born in London, England to Jamaican parents. At the age of 12, Lewis’ family moved to Canada where he became an amateur boxer and ultimately represented Canada at the 1984 Summer Olympics where he placed 5th. In 1988, Lewis again traveled to the Olympics in Seoul, South Korea where he went on to win gold after defeating Riddick Bowe, shortly thereafter he turned pro.
Throughout his career, Lewis faced and won against contenders such as Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, and “Razor” Ruddock. After retiring in 2004, Lennox went on to become a commentator on cable network HBO, and has made guest appearances on a number of reality TV shows including Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice”.
Lennox is married to Violent Chang, who is also Jamaican and was 2nd runner-up in the 2002 Miss Jamaica pageant. They couple have two children together. For more information on Lennox Lewis, check out his site here.
