Beres Hammond is back with “A Moment In Time”
I’m a self-admitted Beres Hammond groupie, I have a major crush on the man, not in a sexual way but, I just love the man’s voice and his style, and I know one day we’ll meet and when we do I just want him to sing a little bit of “Love From A Distance”, and then I can shed a few tears, pass out, and then resume my normal life. LOL!
Seriously though, Beres doesn’t have to even try when it comes to his skills, he could sing the ABC’s and make it sound like an all out ballad, he just has that “it” factor, not-to-mention that unforgettable voice that makes you long for the good ole’ days and music of yesteryear. Beres’ music is classic music that transcends time and makes you want to just sing at the top of your voice and not care who stares at you. OK, maybe it’s just me??? LOL!
Anyway, Beres has a new album (or DVD) that will be dropping soon (I hope) on VP Records entitled “A Moment In Time” and he has also posted a single online entitled, “Bring It On”, for our listening pleasure. As usual, Beres can do no wrong in my eyes and I love the song. There is no official press on the album/DVD just yet, but from what I gather, it seems like this possible album is based off a 4-hour concert he did last year, by the same name. Beres performed the concert at the The National Indoor Sports Center with the Harlem-based Sugar Hill Orchestra, and it was even made into a DVD, but it has yet to be released.
